The tree is lit, there's a pile of presents just waiting to be opened, you have yourself a glass of egg nog and A Christmas Story is playing on the TV. It's almost perfect, there's only one thing missing. You don't have a podcast full of winter themed video game music that also happens to contain a lot of cursing. Well here is that missing piece! The TAA Playlist Podcast Episode 2
It may appear strange to have two episodes of this podcast so close together but did you really think I would let Halloween pass by without doing a scary music episode? Well you were wrong......DEAD WRONG!
It's a little down to the wire with today being actual Halloween and all but it still absolutely counts. I will admit this episode is surprisingly creepy so I definitely recommend firing this one up at night, maybe slap some headphones on for good measure as well. Even better, play this outside to scare the trick or treaters. Just maybe edit out the parts where I talk, that will drive them away for a completely different reason.

The TAA Playlist Podcast Episode 1
First of all yes I am very much aware that the artwork for this is, well it's text on a picture of Link playing an ocarina. I'm not a graphic designer man, but I can put text on a picture so that's what we have here. If anyone out there wants to rock me with something way way better, I would more than welcome it.
So here it is! The very first episode of the newly created Total Action Adventure Playlist podcast. If you are familiar with the feature then I'm sure you already have a sense of what you are in for. It's a podcast where we chat about video games a little, but primarily we bless your ears with the sounds of video game music from throughout the decades. It's all explained in the podcast, don't worry.

EP 25 - The One With Christmas
It's not an illution, its another great edition of the Total Action Adventure Podcast! Our Silver (ummm, versary? Sure, we'll go with versary) see's us celebrate our 25th episode in style. Blackjack, hookers, booze and our top 10 games of the year. Shawn and Curtis lead the charge in Drea's absense as the boys slowly realize that only only 1 game correlates between their respective lists, and Curtis continues to amaze Shawn with his choices.

EP 24 - The One With Overwhelming Releases
Well, Guest Star Month has come to a close. We know we know, it's sad. And yes one could argue that it was more like Guest Star Three Weeks, but one could also argue that you should shut up! But try to hang on to those wonderful memories as we move forward and go back to our regular crew of Drea, Curtis and Shawn. Besides, we still got the goodies; Shawn and Curtis each get their own rant as we talk Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock and Hydrophobia. Meanwhile Drea has had a more positive week of PC Adventuring. We go over the just announced details of the 3DS, and close things off with a slightly overwhelming look of what's in store for us over the next eight weeks.

Throughout history there have been several historic events that couldn't be missed. The moon landing, the finale of Lost... I think that's been it so far. Until today!! This week we are joined by Edmund Mcmillan and Tommy Refenes of Team Meat, the guys behind the upcoming XBLA release Super Meat Boy. We start off with a little What Have You Been Playing, followed by an hour of sheer insanity that should only be missed if you...no you know what; there is absolutely no reason not to listen this. Even if your wife goes into labour, your house gets set on fire and a robber breaks in all at the same time, these are still not valid reasons not to listen. Trust us on this.

This week, we bring a great interview with Rob Hewson, Deborah Jones, and Pete Jones of Dark Energy Digital, makers of upcoming XBLA release Hydrophobia. Learn about the intricacies of the HydroEngine, along with how the Infinite Worlds engine is bringing this game to life. You also get to hear Curtis miss some really bad jokes. Beyond that, we discuss what we've been playing, and how Drea prefers her Plants VS Zombies as a solo outing. Shawn gives his best British/Australian accent a whirl for a trip through Professor Layton, and Curtis discusses the finer points of Halo: Reach. Even if it makes him feel dirty for doing it.

The event of the year has finally kicked off. That's right kids, it's Guest Star Month on the TotalActionAdventure podcast! Lack of a catchy name aside, things could not have opened with more of a bang; as this week we are joined by Miguel Molinari and Damian Boyar of RockGamer Studios. Besides the super impressive bumps (so exciting!!), we talk Dead Rising 2 and Metroid: Other M, we revisit the wonder that is Deathspank, and finish by speculating why NHL'94 is considered the ultimate NHL hockey videogame experience. We also discuss the most recent guarantee that Duke Nukem Forever is indeed coming out. Like, seriously.
Then it's time for the main event as Miguel and Damian give us the goods on Rock Band Network and all of the features being introduced in RBN 2.0. We cover Rock Band 3 in detail as well as discuss what we're excited for in the title (hint: damn near all of it), and how this is going to completely revolutionize how music video games are played.
